The Chemical Engineering Department of Gharda Institute of Technology (GIT) was established in 2007. The department is committed to provide quality education to the aspiring engineers. The department offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge in chemical engineering. The B.E. program is structured to provide a strong foundation in core chemical engineering principles, along with opportunities for practical application through laboratory work and industry interactions. The teaching-learning process at the department is proper blend of conventional and novel methods. Experiential, project based, collaborative and self learning modes are used to facilitate better understanding and increase interest among students. Internships and Industry based projects, along with industrial visits provide the experiential learning. Well equipped and industry supported laboratories with advanced analytical facilities is highlight of the department.

The faculty members of the Chemical Engineering Department are dedicated to delivering quality education and engaging in research activities. They are involved in various research projects and have published numerous papers in national and international journals. The department encourages students to participate in research activities, fostering a culture of innovation and research. The faculty members are involved in syllabus framing and other academic activities at university of Mumbai.
